The ICC Mens T20 World Cup 2020 is a professional twenty-twenty league venue in Australia from 18th October. There are 16 teams who will be participating in this tournament. The total 16 teams are Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, West Indies, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, England, Oman, Ireland, Namibia, Papua New Guinea, Netherlands and Scotland.

The men’s T20 World Cup international cricket tournament is organized by the International Cricket Council. This time around the matches will be held in Australia from 18th October onwards. A total of 16 teams take part in this tournament which is divided into two groups. Group A comprises South Africa, New Zealand, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, West Indies, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, and England. Group B consists of Oman, Ireland, Namibia, Papua New Guinea, Netherlands, and Scotland. Take a look at the points table below.

T20 world cup organized every 2 years, where 15 teams participate out of which 9 are selected from their world rankings while the remaining are selected from T20 world cup qualifiers. One of the main highlights of this year’s T20 world cup tournament is the new format that will be implemented by ICC.

Begin with two groups A and B led by Sri Lanka and Bangladesh respectively. Ireland, Papua New Guinea, Oman will be part of Group A. While Scotland, Namibia, and the Netherlands led by Bangladesh will form Group B. Top 2 teams from both these groups will be qualified for the super 12 stages.

The topmost team in Group A and the second top team in Group B will be qualified for group 1 of the super 12 with New Zealand, Australia, West Indies, and Pakistan.

The highest team in group B and the second team in Group A will join the second group of the super 12 comprising of South Africa, England, Afghanistan, and India.
